When we replaced our dead lead acid house batteries about 18 months ago, lithium was what I wanted. Unfortunately, at the time local marine insurance companies were undecided about regulations compliance standards and the dealer specified batteries were astronomically priced. Fast forward, we have a Lead Carbon house batter bank that I have just added 6 BOS LE300 extenders to. They are compliant to many international stnadards and they were cost effective. Sure they don't offer the massive power of a full lithium installation, but they do take my daily load and are happy to backup the lead carbon as designed.
